University Partnerships

Since its beginning in 1993 SaM Solutions partners and works close with the Belarusian technical universities. This is a two-way cooperation pursuing a marriage of fundamental technology research with the practical field practice. At this time the partnership comprises the following cooperation programs:

  1. Students make their internships and diploma works at SaM Solutions;
  2. SaM Solutions engages University professors as consultants or part-time employees;
  3. SaM Solutions technology experts deliver lectures on latest software technologies: .NET, Java, SAP;
  4. SaM Solutions sponsors and invests in the laboratory facilities and learning materials of the University.

The active partnerships with Belarusian technical universities is a strategic component of SaM Solutions readiness for the future, broadening its access to the pool of highly qualified IT talent.

To date SaM Solutions partners with the following universities:

  • Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics

    The university is the cradle of SaM Solutions. The company was founded by professors and graduates of the university. Since its very beginning the company maintains an official partnership with the institution, which is the biggest education establishment for information technology in Belarus. The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics was founded in 1964 to become the leading Belarusian educational facility in the field. The university has 9 faculties, 39 departments, Institute of Informatics, 55 research and development laboratories, and offers Master and PhD programs. Over 12,500 students including about 250 international students from 22 countries study today at BSUIR.

  • Belarusian National Technical University

    The Belarusian National Technical University is the prominent technical university in Belarus, founded in 1923. Today the University academia includes 1,600 professors and professor assistants, Doctors and Masters of Science in 71 fields. The university comprises 15 faculties, 109 departments, 46 research-and-development laboratories, and 3 Institutes. Over 145,000 highly qualified specialists have graduated from the university throughout its history. Over 50% of Belarusian Doctors of Science in the field of industry machinery, transport, metallurgy, construction have graduated from BNTU.

  • Belarusian State University

    Since 1921 Belarusian State University is the biggest and leading educational institution in Belarus. The university employs over 8,500 academia members delivering 2,500 classes, including 251 PhDs, 1,100 Masters of Science, and 4 Academics. The university prepares over 25,000 students, including 1,500 international students.

    Promo Code Activation Service

    The service is intended for automating promotional campaigns based on providing users with promo-licenses in exchange for their registration information and/or special promo codes. One promo code can be issued to a group of users. Each promo code can be exchanged (activated) by a user for an individual activation code for a personal product. The exchange is carried out on a special web page (registration page) that is integrated with the Promo Code Activation Service.

    Administrator Suite for Data Center Management (Virtualization Management Extension)

    SaM Solutions took part in the development and maintenance of a software suite for comprehensive and integrated system management of both physical and virtual machines from a single console in mixed physical and virtualized environments.

    Virtual Input-Output Manager

    The goal of the project was to port an existing virtual input-output manager module to Linux. Later on, however, this initial effort grew into full support and continuous integration for all supported platforms. Supported platforms include SLES 10/11, RHEL 4/5 (x86 and x64 arch) and Windows Server 2003/2008 that was added later on.
